Role Overview:
As the School Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and security of the school facilities. Your role is vital in providing a safe and conducive environment for learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the security and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
Manage repairs, upkeep, and cleaning of the facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
Assist with setting up for school events and activities.
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers as necessary.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
Maintain inventories of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably within a school or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and building maintenance practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks.
