About the Role:
As the School Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial and operational management of the school. You will be responsible for a wide range of functions including finance, procurement, HR, facilities management, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Your leadership will ensure that the school operates efficiently, with the resources and systems in place to support both the staff and students in achieving their full potential. You will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to ensure strategic goals are met, and the financial health and operational efficiency of the school are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the school's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure financial sustainability.
- Oversee the day-to-day operational functions of the school, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Manage procurement processes and supplier relationships to ensure value for money and quality of services.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide HR support, including recruitment, payroll, and staff development.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to provide strategic advice and support on business operations and financial matters.
- Oversee the management of school facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and conducive to effective learning.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support the school's strategic vision.
