Position Overview:
Josh of Aspire People is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work in a resource base in Northfield, Birmingham.
You will have the unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs while working in small classes alongside a SEN Teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the SEN Teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons for students with special educational needs.
* Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, addressing their specific needs.
* Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional and social development.
* Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback and reporting to the SEN Teacher.
* Help with administrative tasks related to the resource base, including classroom organization and materials preparation.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
* A genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3/ 2 Teaching Assistant certificate, are advantageous.
