Job Role: Religious Education (RE) Teacher for a Secondary School in BurtonLocation: Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Aspire People are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Burton. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and help them explore the diverse and thought-provoking world of religion, ethics, and philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality RE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 teaching experience is a plus).
Foster students' understanding of religious beliefs, values, and practices, encouraging critical thinking and reflection.
Create engaging and thought-provoking lessons that challenge students' perspectives on global and ethical issues.
Promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported in their learning.
Contribute to the wider school community, potentially including extracurricular activities related to religious studies.
Track student progress, provide feedback, and implement strategies to help students meet their potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance and develop the RE curriculum.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
Experience teaching RE at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable).
A passion for teaching RE and a commitment to helping students explore religious and ethical issues.
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
A clear DBS check.
