Job descriptionAre you looking for pupil guiding work in Birmingham?
I am currently recruiting dedicated pupil guides, to transport SEN children to and from their school. This job includes, working with children with an array of disabilities including both visible and nonvisible. There is no driving involved in this role. Your role will be helping and supporting the children on the minibus/taxi to and from their school, you will be responsible for the children and safety throughout their journey. You will also have a key role with liaising with parents and the school.
This job is a casual role covering absences, sickness or covering a new route at short notice, this role will be ideal for someone who is caring patient and can working flexibly. The typical hours of this job is 7am - 9am and 3pm -5pm (these are subject to change)You will need to be able to make your own way home from the school in the and you will need to make your way back to the school in the afternoon, however this depends on how far the school is, as picking you up and dropping you back is something that can be arranged for you.
The requirement for this role:
*Previous experience working with children
*Good communication skills
*Harness training (you will not always need this on a route, but we can provide free harness training to you)
*Previous experience as a pupil guide (This is preferred not essential)
