Our client school is a consistently good school aiming to maintain its good grading and overtime attain an Outstanding school grade. This school frequently have positive feedback on behaviour and attainment of students and the staff work collaboratively with other teachers and multiple agencies to ensure that the students are provided with the best learning and developing environment.
The school has maintained a Good grading for a number of years. The School have few areas that require improvement and have an outstanding 6thform both in terms of results and within student satisfaction surveys. Part of your role in being involved in 6thform will include university visits and encouraging students to gain a place at a University of their choosing.
The school is based in the Derby city not far from the Derbyshire country side, with excellent sporting facilities and excellent connections to public transport links.
The 6thform department are a cohesive group of staff which share resources and planning materials in line with their teaching style which is an excellent combination of humanist and traditional approaches. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their own behaviour and a successful consequence behaviour monitoring system is used within the school.
The role requires teachers to be aware of pastoral needs of children and young people. Have an understanding and caring attitude to SEMH needs of pupils and an ability to be vigilant to mental health issues.
To be considered for this role you must be driven and determined and be willing to lead intervention and booster sessions for students. A creative and dynamic approach will be required to allow your students to thrive and attain.
