SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools - Oldham - Immediate StartAspire People are currently looking to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils with special educational needs across primary schools in the Oldham area.
This position offers a combination of flexible day-to-day supply work as well as potential long-term placements, with an immediate start available.
We are looking for a compassionate, patient and adaptable individual who is committed to supporting children with additional needs and helping them succeed both academically and socially.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with special educational needs including ASD, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties
* Delivering 1:1 support and assisting with small group interventions
* Working alongside the class teacher to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
* Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural development
* Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting SEN pupils or working with children (desirable but not essential)
* A calm, nurturing and supportive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
