Job description
Are you a Teacher of Performing Arts - Dance or Drama looking for a new challenge in Leicester from September 2021? Are you passionate about teaching Performing Arts? Can you make a difference to the learning of young people?The school I am recruiting for are looking for a teacher of Performing Arts - Dance or Drama to join their outstanding team from September. The position is full time and will be covering a maternity leave. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified teacher and be able to teach Performing Arts to from KS3 to KS5.
Performing Arts is an essential component of a balanced school curriculum and courses offered are very popular at this school at all key stages. At KS4, both GCSE Drama and RSL Dance are offered, the latter being delivered within the curriculum PE slot. Both subjects are very popular with students. The school are proud of their track record with another year set to achieve outstanding results.
As a full time Teacher of Performing Arts, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected to.
«Teach Performing Arts up to KS5.
«Have a passion for teaching your specialist subject.
«Have the highest aspirations for the school's learners.
«Be creative, organised, and driven.
« Assess, mark and plan lessons.
« Assess achievements of pupils.
«Provide progress reports and attend parent's evenings & dept meetings.
