Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated Pathways Careers Teacher to join our high-needs SEN school in Kidderminster. Our students have a range of needs, including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), sensory processing difficulties, PMLD, SLD and behavioural challenges.
About the Role:
As a Pathways Careers Teacher, you will support our students in developing essential life skills, exploring career opportunities, and preparing for their next steps into further education, training, or employment. You will:
Develop and deliver a tailored careers education programme.
Provide one-to-one and group guidance to support students' aspirations.
Work closely with employers, colleges, and training providers to create meaningful opportunities.
Foster independence and confidence in students transitioning into adulthood.
About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Experience working with students with Autism, SEMH, complex needs, SEMH, PMLD, and SLD.
A strong understanding of careers guidance, transition planning, and employability skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Passionate about inclusion and supporting students with additional needs.
