Role: Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant (3 Days per Week)Start and Finish Date: February Half Term - July
Location: Burntwood
Full-time/Part-time: Part-time (3 days per week, Wednesday - Friday)
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and dedicated primary school in Burntwood. In this role, you will support the teaching and learning of Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, helping to create a stimulating and inclusive classroom. Your role will involve working closely with the class teacher to implement learning activities, assess student progress, and assist with classroom management.
Expectations of the Successful Candidate
Experience working in a primary school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1.
Ability to support and assist children both individually and in small groups.
A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Ability to develop and implement interventions to support the learning of children who may require additional support.
Be proactive in supporting students with their social and emotional development.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A commitment to maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment.
An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child protection.
What is Required
Experience in supporting children in an educational environment, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) would be beneficial.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
A caring and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
A commitment to ongoing professional development.
