Job description
Are you a compassionate, qualified nurse with a passion for working with children and young people? Aspire People are currently seeking dedicated and experienced nurses to join an expanding SEND school, supporting children from KS3 to KS5 with a range of SEND needs, including non-verbal communication, personal care, and PMLD needs.About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for qualified nurses with a true vocation for supporting children with complex and challenging behaviours. You'll be working in a supportive, expanding SEND school, providing vital care to students who require personal care, medical assistance, and support with their daily needs. This role offers the chance to truly make a positive impact on the lives of young people with complex SEND needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care for children with a variety of SEND needs, including non-verbal, personal care, and PMLD
Support with the administration of medication and health care routines
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care plans
Assist in managing challenging behaviours and creating a safe, nurturing environment for all students
Support in personal care tasks, such as feeding, mobility, and hygiene
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Nurse (RGN, RNLD, or similar qualification) with experience working with children or adults with SEND (preferably PMLD, complex medical needs, or challenging behaviours).
A caring, empathetic nature with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals.
Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviours is highly desirable.
A proactive approach to supporting pupils with complex needs and a desire to make a lasting impact on their lives.
