Role Overview:
As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover a broad spectrum of musical styles and techniques. You will help students develop their musical abilities, from understanding music theory to mastering instruments and vocals. Your role will also involve inspiring creativity, encouraging performance skills, and fostering a deep appreciation for music.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver dynamic Music lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
Teach a variety of musical disciplines, including theory, instruments, and vocals.
Organize and lead school performances, ensembles, and extracurricular music activities.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures creativity and learning.
Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the school's music curriculum and contribute to the wider arts community.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience: Previous experience teaching Music at the secondary level is preferred.
Skills: Strong musical proficiency, excellent classroom management, and the ability to inspire and engage students.
DBS: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
