As a Music Teacher, you will have the chance to shape the musical journey of students, helping them to develop their skills, knowledge, and appreciation of music across various genres. You will be part of a vibrant team dedicated to fostering creativity and encouraging student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality music lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Encourage students to explore different musical styles, instruments, and techniques.
Support extracurricular music activities, including school concerts, choirs, and music clubs.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support.
Inspire students to develop a passion for music and creative expression.
Collaborate with other departments and staff to enhance the overall curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
A passion for music and teaching.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Strong knowledge of music theory, performance, and a variety of musical genres.
Experience teaching music at secondary school level (preferred but not essential).
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to inspire, motivate, and support students in their musical development.
A positive, creative, and flexible approach to teaching.
