About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Derby. This full-time position is set to commence in September and requires a professional with a strong background in teaching music to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students
Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student work
Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles
Maintain a high standard of classroom management and discipline
Address and manage challenging behavior effectively and constructively
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory for this position. Applications without QTS will not be considered.
Proven experience teaching music to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle challenging behavior
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Enthusiasm for music education and a commitment to student development
