We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. About the Role: As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across key stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at key stage 5 for the right candidate. You will inspire students to develop a strong understanding and love of mathematics, helping them achieve excellent results. The school prides itself on its collaborative and supportive staff environment, where professional development is encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5, if applicable).
Prepare and implement lesson plans that meet the individual learning needs of students.
Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their development.
Foster a positive classroom environment, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Engage in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practice.
Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Maths.
Strong knowledge and passion for teaching Maths.
Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level (KS3/KS4), with the potential to teach KS5 if desired.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching, with a focus on student progress.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
