Job description
Aspire People are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-led primary school in Salford who are seeking a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing school that places a strong emphasis on early literacy, phonics development, and building confident, independent learners.
The Role:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging KS1 lessons
Delivering small group phonics interventions (Read Write Inc / Letters & Sounds experience desirable)
Providing targeted support in early reading, writing and numeracy
Supporting pupils with mild SEND needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
Assisting with classroom preparation and resource organisation
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
Recent experience working within a primary school
Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum expectations
Confident delivering structured interventions
Patient, proactive, and able to build strong relationships with pupils
