Job description
Are you a learning support mentor looking to help vulnerable children?I am looking for an experienced LSM to work with pupils with ESBD (Emotional, Social and Behavioural Difficulties). This would be an ongoing placement within and OUTSTANDING Special School in Rugeley.
The School I am recruiting for is a fantastic Special School that is well equipped for the pupils. Candidates that have previously worked there have all commented on how supportive the staff are! The class you will be with are looking for a LSM to support them on an ongoing role for now but have stated this could become a permanent position for the right person.
I am looking for someone who has a calming but firm approach, so the right candidate will be able to give positive reinforcement whilst implementing boundaries. You will be working with the pupils on a 1:2:1 basis and within the classroom. Due to the behavioural difficulties these pupils face MAPA training will also be an advantage. I'm looking for a strong member of staff who can fit within the team straight away and work alongside the other professionals.
