Job description
Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Provision for Young Women (SEMH / SEND)Role: SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Key Stage: KS3 / KS4
Start Date: March 2026
Location: Bedfordshire
Are you a patient, resilient and compassionate Learning Support Assistant looking for a deeply rewarding role? Do you have the confidence and emotional intelligence to support young women who have experienced significant trauma and adversity?
If you're passionate about helping every learner feel safe, supported and able to access education, we'd love to hear from you.
Aspire People is working in partnership with a highly specialised provision in Bedfordshire, dedicated to supporting young women who are currently unable to attend mainstream education. These students have experienced various forms of disruption in their early lives, which often present as strong emotional, behavioural and attachment needs, as well as a mistrust of authority figures.
Class sizes are small (maximum of 10 students) and individual ability levels vary depending on personal circumstances. As an LSA, you will play a vital role in helping students regulate their emotions, engage with learning and build positive relationships. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide consistent, calm and nurturing support throughout the school day.
