KS1 SEN Teacher - Autism Provision SchoolCompany: Aspire People Limited
Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and dedicated KS1 SEN Teacher to join a specialist Autism Provision school. This is a rewarding opportunity to support and inspire young learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASC.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.
* Create a structured, sensory-aware classroom environment that supports communication and emotional regulation.
* Use a range of specialist strategies (e.g., PECS, visual timetables, TEACCH approaches) to support learning and behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
* Monitor progress and provide detailed feedback and reports.
Requirements:
* QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
* Experience working with KS1 pupils with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices.
* Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to behaviour management.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable:
* SEN qualification or additional training in autism-specific strategies.
* Experience within a specialist provision or SEN school setting.
