Aspire People are delighted to be recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher for a warm and welcoming primary school in Shrewsbury. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners in Years 1 and 2. As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will inspire, support, and guide your pupils through their early education, ensuring that their foundation for learning is strong and secure.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons to children in Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2).
Develop and implement interactive and fun activities to build key skills in literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
Assess and track pupil progress, providing targeted support and identifying areas for improvement.
Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel confident and eager to learn.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful and safe learning environment for all students.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, teaching assistants, and parents to ensure the holistic development of pupils.
Keep parents informed of their child's progress through regular communication.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and school trips as part of a well-rounded educational experience.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly in Years 1 & 2, is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative, enthusiastic, and patient with a genuine passion for teaching young children.
Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute to the positive culture of the school.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
