Key Stage 1 Teacher - January StartLocation: Shrewsbury
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent)
Start Date: January 2026
We are looking for a committed and passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Shrewsbury. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in January, with full classroom responsibilities including planning, teaching, marking, and assessment.
The school is known for its nurturing ethos and friendly staff team. They value creativity, collaboration, and ensuring every child feels supported and encouraged in their learning journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking for a school that invests in staff development.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to KS1 pupils in line with the National Curriculum
Full responsibility for planning, preparation, marking, and assessment
Maintain high expectations for pupils' progress, behaviour, and engagement
Work collaboratively with other staff to support pupil development
Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1
Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
A nurturing, positive and enthusiastic approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
