Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
Plan, prepare, and assess student work in accordance with the school's curriculum and standards.
Manage classroom behavior to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Support and motivate students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve teaching strategies and resources.
Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and participate in the wider school community.
Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in History or a closely related subject.
Passion for history and a clear ability to make it accessible and engaging for students.
Experience teaching History at secondary school level (Key Stage 3/4/5).
Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to the welfare of students.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school ethos.
