Role Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our team of educators in secondary schools across Derby. This is a full-time role starting in September, teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and informative History lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Assess and mark students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for History.
Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching practices.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience in teaching History at the secondary school level.
Strong background in planning and marking students' work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
