Position: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary: £95 - £105 per day

Aspire People is excited to be working with an outstanding all-through SEN school in Leicester, seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate, particularly with a degree in Psychology or a related field, to gain valuable experience supporting students with special educational needs in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing 1:1 support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop essential skills.
Assisting in small group sessions to support social development, collaborative learning, and peer relationships.
Collaborating with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs), ensuring that each student receives tailored support based on their unique needs.
Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel safe, engaged, and supported in their learning.
Being a part of a committed team, working closely with specialists to track progress and adapt strategies to support each child's development.
Offering support in managing classroom behaviour, encouraging independence and self-confidence in students.
What We Need From You:
A degree in Psychology or a related field (e.g., Child Development, Special Educational Needs, etc.).
Previous experience working with children, preferably within a special educational needs (SEN) setting, is an advantage.
A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
The ability to work 5 days a week, providing consistent support and helping create an environment conducive to learning and development.
A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude, with a flexible approach to supporting students' needs.
