SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS) - RugbyLocation: Rugby
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time)
Start Date: As soon as possible (or specify)
We are seeking a kind, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils with Special Educational Needs in a warm and nurturing school environment in Rugby. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and supporting children at the very start of their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for EYFS pupils with SEN (including ASD, speech and language needs, developmental delay, and sensory needs)
Support children with play-based learning, routines, and early development goals
Help pupils develop communication, social, and emotional skills
Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Support personal care, toileting, and feeding where required (training provided)
Create a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with EYFS or nursery-aged children, ideally with SEN
Be nurturing, patient, and observant
Have a good understanding of early child development
Be able to build positive relationships with young children and staff
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
