Job description
Position: EYFS Teaching AssistantLocation: Southam
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
Are you ready to inspire the next generation of little learners? We're looking for an enthusiastic and energetic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and friendly team in Southam. If you love working with young children and want to be part of a school that makes learning fun and exciting, this is the perfect role for you!
You'll play a key role in creating a lively, engaging environment where children feel confident to explore, learn, and grow. It's a chance to help shape their very first experiences in school and support them on their journey of discovery.
What You'll Be Doing:
Team Up with Teachers: Support our amazing EYFS teachers in delivering exciting, hands-on lessons that are all about play, exploration, and creativity - because learning should be fun!
One-on-One Support: Work with individual children or small groups to help them grasp new skills, build confidence, and reach their personal goals.
Create Magic: Help create a safe, welcoming classroom where children can feel at home - from painting a masterpiece to solving puzzles or building castles, every day is an adventure!
Track Progress: Observe how the children are doing, celebrate their achievements, and support their next steps in learning. You'll help bring out the best in them!
Everyday Routines: Get involved with lunchtime, outdoor play, and other routines, ensuring that every child feels cared for and supported throughout the day.
Build Relationships: Connect with children, parents, and the team to create a community that works together to make learning fun and fulfilling.
What We're Looking For:
A genuine love for working with young children and a desire to make their first experiences in school joyful and memorable.
Previous experience in an EYFS setting would be great, but if you have a big heart and a willingness to learn, we'll provide all the training you need.
A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum - or a willingness to embrace it with enthusiasm and creativity.
Strong communication skills - you'll be chatting to children, parents, and team members, so being able to engage and build relationships is key!
Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude - every day brings something new, and we need someone who is ready for anything!
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Education (or equivalent) would be a bonus, but not a deal-breaker.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
A Fun, Friendly Team: You'll be part of a team that's passionate about making learning an adventure. We support each other and celebrate our successes together!
Professional Growth: We believe in learning as much as our kids do. We offer ongoing training and opportunities to grow within your role.
A Bright, Creative Environment: Our classrooms are full of colour, creativity, and laughter - a place where you'll enjoy coming to work every day.
Competitive Pay & Benefits: Enjoy a competitive salary along with some fantastic staff perks.
