We are seeking a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. The ideal candidate will be committed to nurturing and supporting the development of young children, creating a stimulating environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in planning, delivering, and assessing engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
Provide individual or small group support to children, helping them to access learning and achieve their potential.
Assist in creating a safe, warm, and welcoming classroom environment, encouraging children's independence and social development.
Observe and track children's progress, documenting achievements and sharing feedback with the class teacher.
Help with daily routines, including lunchtime, break time, and helping children with personal care when necessary.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, working together to create a positive learning community.
Promote inclusive practice, supporting children with a range of abilities and needs.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children, ideally in an EYFS setting (although training can be provided for the right candidate).
A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them grow and develop.
A good understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
Patience, flexibility, and creativity in approach to learning and behaviour management.
An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Education (or equivalent) would be advantageous but not essential.
