Job description
Aspire People are recruiting for 5 Exam Invigilators in November/December.This is perfect for people who are looking for adhoc, seasonal, part time work. These are NOT full time or permanent positions so you must be willing to work on a TEMPORARY basis.
Experience is not essential but coming from a background of working within schools would be advantageous.
The School needs 5 days for the weeks commencing 11th & 18th December. Hours to be confirmed but usually 8:30 - 3:30. You will also be required to go into the School in the last week in November for 2/3 days for training.
The purpose of the role is to invigilate examinations following documented processes, procedures and regulations to ensure examinations are run in a secure, confidential and suitable environment. You will also be responsible in ensuring both students and the school comply with regulations as well as creating a safe and consistent experience of examinations for all pupils.
You will ideally have experience of invigilation and have carried out the role previously, however full support and training will be given if this is something you may be interested in:
The role:
* To lay out examinations with relevant examination materials as directed by the Line Manager.
* To assist students entering the examination room.
* To record attendance/absence from the examination by completing examination registers.
* To ensure identification checks are correctly carried out.
* To report all student queries on examination papers to the Line Manager.
Good literacy/numeracy skills are essential but NO qualifications needed just a clear DBS.
Familiar with the JCQ instructions for conducting examinations would be desirable.
To be able to be considered for these amazing positions, applicants must either have a DBS that is on the update service or be willing to pay £47.20 for a new one. You must also complete the full registration process with Aspire People.
