English Teacher - Short-Term Placement (6 Weeks)Secondary School | Walsall Area | January Start
We are working with a large, well-established secondary academy in the Walsall area to appoint an English specialist for a 6-week placement from January.
This is a forward-thinking academy within a national multi-academy trust, known for clear behaviour systems, strong leadership presence, and a structured approach to teaching and learning. The school serves a diverse community and places a strong emphasis on consistency, routines, and high expectations.
The Role
Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
Full teaching responsibility, including planning and marking
Well-resourced English department with shared schemes of work
Supportive on-site leadership and pastoral structures
Clear behaviour policy that is consistently applied across the school
The Ideal Candidate
QTS preferred, however the school is open to strong instructors
Minimum 6 months' experience teaching English long-term
Confident with planning, delivery, and marking
Calm, resilient, and consistent classroom presence
Comfortable working in a structured, high-expectations environment
