Job description
Are you a passionate English teacher based in and around central Birmingham who is looking for a long-term role?We are recruiting for qualified English specialist who is confident in the classroom. The full-time job is starting from September 2022 and requires someone with the ability to teach key stage 3 and key stage 4 students. The role is due to finish at the end of the academic year in 2023, but this school has requested many previous teachers to return which provides an opportunity for a full-time post in September being secured. The school is part of a close community and trust which is striving to be one of the top schools in central Birmingham.
As a full-time English teacher, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff meaning that the following is expected:
*Confidently teach KS3 & KS4
*Assess, Mark and Plan lessons
*Assess achievement of pupils
*Have strong knowledge on the subject curriculum
*Attend parent's evenings and department meetings
*Meetings requirements for the assessment and recordings of pupil development
