Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with the school's curriculum and policies.
Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment to help students thrive.
Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure each student reaches their potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the English department.
Attend school meetings, parents' evenings, and professional development opportunities.
Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in English or a related subject.
Passion for teaching English and inspiring students of all abilities.
Experience teaching English at secondary school level (Key Stage 3/4/5).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the wider school community.
