Aspire People are seeking a dynamic and passionate English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Alum Rock. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students in English, nurturing their creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills while fostering a love for literature and language.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 teaching experience is a plus).
Encourage a passion for reading, writing, and literature, creating a stimulating classroom environment.
Help students develop strong literacy skills, including reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and verbal communication.
Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
Contribute to extracurricular activities such as drama productions, literary clubs, or reading initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve the English curriculum and teaching strategies.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related field.
Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable).
A genuine passion for teaching English and inspiring students.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A clear DBS check.
