Aspire People are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated English Learning Mentor to support students in a thriving secondary school in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate, aspiring teacher, or experienced mentor who is committed to raising attainment and building student confidence in English.
The Role
As an English Learning Mentor, you will:
* Deliver targeted English intervention sessions (1:1 and small group)
* Support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students with reading, writing, and exam preparation
* Work closely with the English department to raise achievement
* Build positive relationships with students who require additional support
* Monitor and track student progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold a degree in English or a related subject (preferred)
* Have experience working with secondary-aged students
* Be confident supporting GCSE English Language and Literature
* Demonstrate patience, resilience, and strong communication skills
* Be passionate about education and student development
