Are you an experienced educator with a passion for English literature and language? Our client, a reputable educational institution in Northamptonshire, is currently seeking a dedicated English Cover Supervisor to join their team. This role offers flexibility, with options available for both part-time and full-time positions.
Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility for overseeing English classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
Deliver pre-planned English lessons effectively, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment conducive to student success.
Provide support to students with their English language and literature studies as needed.
Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain continuity in students' learning experiences.
Requirements:
Previous experience working within a UK secondary school setting is essential.
A Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required, with a strong preference for candidates with an English-related degree or equivalent.
Demonstrated expertise in English language and literature.
Possession of a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate on the update service is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
Flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments.
