Join Our Team: Early Years Teaching Assistant - Northampton (Must Be Able to Drive)Location: Northampton
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you have the enthusiasm and creativity to support young children in their first steps of learning? We're looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team in Northampton, and we want someone who can bring their energy, compassion, and skills to help our youngest learners flourish.
This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children in their early years, and you'll be part of a supportive team that helps children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The ability to drive is essential for this position, as you'll need to be flexible and able to travel to different locations if required.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting Early Learners: Work alongside the class teacher to support children's learning through play, hands-on activities, and exploration.
Creating a Fun & Engaging Environment: Help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom where children can develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
Personalized Support: Provide 1:1 or small group support to children who need additional help with specific tasks or learning activities.
Promoting Independence: Encourage children to develop self-confidence, independence, and key life skills in a nurturing setting.
Liaising with Parents & Staff: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them updated on their child's progress and well-being.
Supporting Daily Routines: Assist with daily routines such as lunchtime, outdoor play, and personal care as needed.
Who We're Looking For:
A Passion for Early Years: You're enthusiastic about supporting children in their early stages of development and helping them build a strong foundation for learning.
You're a Driver: You need to have a full, clean driving licence as you may be required to travel between school locations.
Creative & Patient: You're full of ideas to make learning fun and engaging, and you're patient, understanding, and able to work flexibly to meet each child's needs.
Experience is a Plus: Experience working with young children, particularly in an early years setting, is desirable. But if you're new to the field, as long as you have a passion for learning, we'll support you.
Team-Oriented: You thrive in a collaborative team environment and are keen to share ideas and learn from others.
Qualifications (Desirable but not Essential): A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or a related field would be great, but it's not essential.
What's In It for You:
A Supportive Team: You'll be part of a team that is as dedicated to helping you succeed as you are to helping the children.
Career Development: We offer opportunities for you to continue your professional development with training and support.
A Rewarding Role: There's nothing more fulfilling than seeing the children you work with grow and develop new skills every day!
Competitive Pay & Benefits: Enjoy a competitive salary, great benefits, and a chance to make a real impact on the future of young learners.
If you're ready to join a team where you can make a real difference in the lives of young children, we'd love to hear from you!
