Design & Technology Teacher - Secondary SchoolLocation: Ilford
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) - dependent on experience
We are seeking a motivated and innovative Design & Technology Teacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Ilford. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner to inspire students and develop practical, problem-solving skills through creative and technical learning.
The Role:
Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Deliver engaging lessons across DT specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Food Technology (depending on expertise)
Plan, assess, and monitor student progress in line with curriculum expectations
Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment
Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it
Have strong subject knowledge and practical DT experience
Be committed to high-quality teaching and student achievement
Demonstrate excellent classroom and workshop management
Be enthusiastic, reliable, and a strong team player
