The Role:
Aspire People is seeking a talented Design and Technology Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 (Sixth Form) for the right candidate. The school is looking for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students to explore the practical and theoretical aspects of Design and Technology, from Product Design to Electronics and Resistant Materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential for Key Stage 5.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that integrate both practical and theoretical knowledge.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support them in achieving their full potential.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Get involved in extra-curricular activities such as clubs or workshops, helping to build student engagement outside of the classroom.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Design and Technology or a closely related subject.
- A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students in Design and Technology.
- Strong knowledge of the subject and the ability to teach a variety of specialisms, including Product Design, Electronics, and Resistant Materials.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
