Job descriptionI am looking for Cover Supervisors to work in Coventry and Warwickshire
Are you looking for a route into teaching and want to gain experience before doing a PGCE? If you are then I may be able to help. I work with a large number of schools in Coventry and Warwickshire that use cover supervisors on a daily basis. The work is very flexible and you can choose when to work which gives you the opportunity to run this alongside other work or family commitments. It is an ideal way to get paid teaching experience especially if you are thinking of doing a PGCE. This is not just babysitting a class while the teacher is away, this is an opportunity to see how things work in the classroom, understand the school day, what being a teacher incorporates and also to get an overview of school life before you commit to anything. This role would be ideal for anyone who has a degree and some previous experience of teaching in a secondary school or educational background would certainly be advantageous.

*A Cover Supervisor is likely to be used for short-term absences of a teacher.
*Supervising work that has been set
*Managing the behaviour of pupils
*Dealing with immediate problems or emergencies according to school policies
*Provide additional support in classrooms
*Help out in other duties when needed such as lunch time, registrations, detentions and reception.
Hours are from 8.30 - 3.30 mostly (times could vary slightly depending on each school day).
