Job description
Are you confident in leading a classroom and delivering pre-planned lessons? Do you have experience working in UK secondary schools? We are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Derby, ensuring a smooth learning experience in the absence of the class teacher.Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
✔ Supervise and deliver pre-planned lessons to full classes across a range of subjects.
✔ Maintain classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
✔ Support students in their learning and follow school policies.
✔ Be adaptable to work in different schools on a day-to-day, part-time, or full-time basis.
Requirements:
🔹 Confident classroom management and the ability to engage students.
🔹 Previous experience working in UK secondary schools (as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar).
🔹 A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply and cover the cost.
🔹 Flexibility and availability to work across multiple schools in Derby.
