Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in education and support the learning environment of secondary school students? in Derby is seeking a motivated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
Manage student behavior and maintain a supportive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
Assist with the implementation of school policies and procedures.
Support the learning needs of students and provide assistance as needed.
Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the overall school community.
Qualifications:
A minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage and engage with students effectively.
Adaptability and the ability to follow lesson plans.
A positive and proactive approach to classroom management.
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
An interest in pursuing a career in teaching.
Confidence in managing challenging behavior.
Willingness to participate in relevant training and professional development.
