I am currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to help me meet the supply demand within this excellent school and would love to hear from you if you have previous experience and have worked as a Cover Supervisor within a secondary school setting. This is a full time role commencing asap for the right candidate and is an excellent opportunity to work in an exceptional school with state of the art facilities.
If you decide that you would like to make the step into teaching this is a really good way of doing so and it can often lead to the school offering you the opportunity to advance in a teaching career . I have several cover supervisors who have gone on to become fully qualified teachers after training.
Ideally you will hold a Degree, be a confident and extrovert individual who has at least three months experience in the classroom setting. Previous experience within a secondary education would be advantageous.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor you will work within a classroom setting
You will be supervising work that has been set and ensuring this is completed and the pupils are on
task.
Managing the behaviour of pupils
Dealing with immediate problems or emergencies according to school policies
Provide additional support in classrooms
Help out in other duties when needed such as lunch time, registrations, detentions and reception.
The Hours:
Hours are normally from 8.30am to 3.30pm for a full time Cover Supervisor but may vary.
