Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for permanent position)
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support students in the absence of their regular class teacher.
Ensure that students remain on task and engaged in set activities.
Manage student behavior effectively and maintain a productive classroom environment.
Assist with the delivery of pre-planned lessons, ensuring students are following instructions.
Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Assist with general administrative tasks related to the classroom and students.
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people (within education or other settings).
A passion for supporting and engaging with students in a secondary school environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
