Manchester | Full-Time | Aspire PeopleAspire People is working closely with a supportive primary school in Manchester who are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil presenting with significant behavioural and emotional needs.
This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is calm, resilient, and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
The Role:
* Providing consistent 1:1 behaviour support throughout the school day
* Supporting a pupil with complex behavioural needs within the classroom
* Implementing behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques
* Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
* Supporting learning tasks to keep the pupil engaged and regulated
* Recording behaviour, progress, and successful interventions
We're Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or challenging behaviour
* Remains calm, patient, and proactive in high-pressure situations
* Has First Aid training (or is willing to complete this)
* Is Team-Teach trained or open to undertaking training
* Communicates confidently with staff and professionals
* Is committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
