🌟 Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistants Wanted in Loughborough! 🌟Are you passionate about supporting children with challenging behaviours and complex needs? Do you have the resilience, patience, and skills to de-escalate situations and provide a safe learning environment? If so, Aspire People want YOU! We are looking for dedicated Behaviour Specialists and SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our partner schools across Loughborough.
💼 The Role:
We have a variety of full-time, part-time, short-term, long-term, and permanent opportunities available in specialist SEN settings and mainstream schools. Your role will involve:
✅ Providing one-on-one support for students with complex behaviour needs
✅ Assisting in small intervention groups, helping with emotional regulation and social skills
✅ Implementing behaviour management strategies to support students effectively
✅ De-escalating challenging situations calmly and positively
✅ Creating a structured, safe, and engaging learning environment
🧩 Key Skills & Qualities Needed for Behaviour Support:
🌟 Strong behaviour management skills - Ability to implement de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement strategies
🌟 Patience & empathy - Supporting students through emotional and behavioural challenges
🌟 Adaptability - Tailoring support to individual needs and responding to changing situations
🌟 Resilience - Staying calm under pressure and handling challenging behaviours with confidence
🌟 Effective communication - Ability to work with students, staff, and parents to create the best learning environment
🌟 Understanding of behaviour support strategies - Knowledge of Team Teach, MAPA, or similar training is highly beneficial
