Behaviour Mentor - Balsall HeathFull Time - Long Term - Start ASAP
Counselling Level 3 or NMC Experience (No Pin Required)

Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support a school in Balsall Heath on a long‑term, full‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone with a Level 3 Counselling qualification or NMC‑related experience who wants to make a meaningful impact on young people facing behavioural and emotional challenges. A nursing pin is not required.
Role Overview
Provide 1:1 and small‑group behaviour and emotional support
Use counselling‑informed approaches to help pupils regulate emotions
Support students with challenging behaviour, anxiety, trauma, or SEMH needs
Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Contribute to behaviour plans, wellbeing interventions, and progress reviews
Promote a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
Counselling Level 3 qualification or NMC experience (no pin needed)
Experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
Strong de‑escalation and behaviour management skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Ability to motivate and engage pupils who may be disengaged
A team‑focused attitude with excellent communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
