We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentors to support students in both specialist and mainstream schools across the Shrewsbury area.Job Description:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be supporting students who may be facing behavioural challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with students, helping them to manage their behaviour, engage in learning, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1-2-1 and small group to support students.
* Implement strategies and interventions to help students manage their behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to create a positive learning environment.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
* Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students, acting as a positive role model.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or related fields are desirable but not essential.
