Job description
Calling all Behaviour Mentor/Teaching Assistants seeking work in the Derbyshire area for August/September 2020 (or possibly earlier).Aspire have the opportunity to recruit for a Behaviour Mentor/Teaching Assistant within the Derbyshire area.
The role is full time on a long term basis. The role will become permanent for the right person. The role is working 121 and in small groups with pupils with particularly challenging behaviour and SEMH difficulties.
The mentor will follow a bespoke timetable and will build positive relationships with the pupil to promote interaction and a constructive learning environment as well as assist the class teacher and other education staff with learning activities.

I have worked with this school for a number of years and have placed several teachers and support staff permanently at this school

The successful candidate will be confident delivering a core curriculum and be a positive and engaging role model for the pupil. They will have a thorough knowledge of SEND and a holistic/therapeutic approach to education.
The school is set in picturesque Derbyshire countryside in a stunning residential estate. The setting offers a therapeutic, calming environment for the primary and secondary pupils to attend.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Level 3 qualified
* Experienced supporting school pupils or young people
* Knowledgeable about supporting pupils with SEBD and SEMH
* Available from Aug/Sept with a DBS on the update service
