Job description
Are you an experienced School Attendance Officer looking for a new and exciting opportunity in Rowley Regis in Sandwell?Aspire People are currently recruiting for a School Attendance Officer to work on a temporary long-term basis in a Primary school based in Sandwell. Applicants must have previous experience as an Attendance Officer within a school setting and familiar with school systems including SIMS
Duties will include.
* Monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence, and punctuality
*Ongoing monitoring of attendance for students
*Identify students who require support with their attendance
*Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, SENCo, inclusion team and other relevant staff regarding student attendance
*Raise attendance issues with parents
*Meet with both students and parents to support them to improve attendance
*Meet with Education Welfare Officer on a regular basis
*Refer students who are not meeting attendance targets.
