Are you a teaching assistant with experience working with children with additional needs?
I am currently recruiting for a school in Nuneaton who are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant.
This job is to start as soon as possible and is currently set to finish at the end of the academic year, however if the school think you are the right candidate, there is a likelihood of this role continuing into next year.
This role will be a Key Stage 2, 1 to 1 classroom support role . You will be working alongside the classroom teacher, to provide extra help and support where needed, therefore knowledge and understanding of the KS2 curriculum would be highly beneficial.
You will be spending your time helping the child , ensuring that they remain focused and are fully understanding the work given and it is completed to the best of their ability, to help them progress within their school life.
This role is based at a lovely school with a welcoming and friendly environment, they have a strong department structure and an EHCP in place and have a solid SENCO in school to ensure sufficient support is provided for each child and new ideas are put forward to follow the child's progress.
The ideal candidate for this role would have experience working with people who have additional needs and need extra support, ks2 experience would also be ideal, however it isn't essential. The main focus is to find someone who is caring, reliable, knowledgeable and nurturing and who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure children progress and are happy in the classroom environment.
As a company we find people from a care and social work background who have an interest in working with SEN get on well in these types of roles, people with personal experience working with children or adults who have additional needs.
