Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary/SEN Schools - Bolton)Employer: Aspire People

Aspire People are recruiting a bank of Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with additional needs in our partner secondary and SEN schools across Bolton. We work with a large network of schools who require passionate, dedicated, and resilient graduates to provide inclusive, tailored support to young people with SEND.
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Work closely with children with additional needs (including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties) within a secondary or SEN school setting.
* Support students on a 1:1 basis, following individual learning and behavioural plans.
* Build professional and nurturing relationships with students to encourage progress and independence.
* Adapt your approach to meet individual needs and learning styles.
* Provide an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
* Work collaboratively with the SENCo and support students with EHCPs.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and understand signs of safeguarding concerns.
Essential Requirements:
UK Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Education Studies or a subject related to SEN
Experience working with children with SEND
Previous experience working within a secondary school setting
Understanding of SEND needs and ability to adapt support accordingly
Strong communication skills, resilience, patience and empathy
Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students
Understanding of safeguarding procedures
DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain a new one
Ability to provide references covering the last 2 years
